The National Writers Series wants you to get involved! Community is at the very core of our mission and we could not continue our work without the help of community members. Our end goal is to provide scholarships to young writers, but to do this we organize outstanding evenings with critically-acclaimed authors. As we are raising scholarship funds, we simultaneously create a literary community of readers, writers, and general book-lovers. There are so many ways to join this community: attend, volunteer, donate, and sponsor. Most people do several of these activities. Even if you do not live in the northern Michigan area, you can help support high school writers by donating or sponsoring!
