Bob Branski - Business Manager

Bob Branski is the business manager for the National Writers Series. Most recently, he was the Vice President of Finance for a Grand Rapids based lumber and building materials company which had four distribution centers and one manufacturing site. Professional experiences range from union negotiations to business forecasting, budget preparation to performance analyses.
In his automotive experience Bob worked for the Ford Motor Company, The Bendix Corporation, Siemens and Tower Automotive in several US locations and capacities, such as a corporate financial and manufacturing analysis and as a  plant  controller. International experiences, besides cost analysis for Canadian manufactured products bound for US markets, include a six month project in Cheltenham, England, a project for a manufacturing facility in Bangladesh, and as a member of a Siemens site selection team looking for a Mexican manufacturing location.

Bob and Marcy (NWS Scholarship Chair) have lived in Traverse City for eight years. They had vacationed many times in Traverse City with their children from their home in Grosse Ile, Michigan. They decided rather than vacation in Traverse City to retire here.

Bob also functions as Secretary/Treasurer of the NWS Board of Directors, team member of the Writers on Front project and liaison to the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation.
Bob earned his MBA from Eastern Michigan University in Finance and is a Vietnam veteran.
