Megan Raphael is author of The Courage Code, winner of a 2009 IPPY Award, and named as Editor’s Choice in the 2008 Indie Excellence Awards. Her book is a study of women’s courage based on interviews with women around the country, and promotes expanding our current definition of courage to include acts of heart and spirit.
Megan has over thirty years experience as a consultant, trainer, executive coach and leader for profit and non-profit organizations and businesses. She was President of Raphael-Leritz Consulting, a successful management development company in the Pacific Northwest. Megan also has many years of progressive management experience in hospitals and health care settings, including serving as Health Services Director for the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians, one of Michigan’s largest Indian Tribes.
She is founder of the Courage Project, a training and development company dedicated to encouraging happiness and health in life and work. She is an expert on courage, leadership and personal development, and is a highly-regarded speaker, workshop leader and life coach.
Megan has done MBA course-work, has a BA in Social Work from Michigan State University, and has had advanced training in organizational development. She completed extensive training in personal and professional life coaching through Coach Training Institute(CTI).
Megan and her husband, Peter, live in Traverse City, Michigan, in an old Victorian a few short blocks from the shores of Grand Traverse Bay.
